It's Finally Here!

Well, I leave in just a little over three weeks. I can't believe it! I started planning this study abroad trip at the beginning of my freshman year and I thought it would never get here! But it finally has and the time has gone so fast! This has been a dream of mine for a long time, so I'm really excited that I finally get to go. Ironically, when I first started thinking about this trip two years ago, Ireland wasn't on the top of my list of places I wanted to go.... at all. In fact, I think I looked into every other program but this one. I just never had a desire to go to Ireland. Funny how things work isn't it? God obviously had something else in mind for me this semester than what I had originally planned on, which is something I'm starting to notice quite a bit in my life. haha. After adding another major at the beginning of last school year and looking into several study abroad programs that Purdue has, I began to realize that DIT (Dublin Institute of Technology) might be the ONLY one I was qualified to do. Though I was frustrated and little disappointed at the beginning, I just went with it and now I can't wait!! It didn't take much research and google images to realize that I honestly can't think of anywhere else I'd rather spend my semester. So, once again, it took me a little longer than it should have to realize God knew what He was doing and I know that this is exactly where He wants me this semester. With that said, there are still a few minor details that need to be worked out such as my official acceptance letter and living situation..... haha. But, surprisingly, I'm really not anxious about that. I know He will work all those things out in time, like He has everything else thus far.

I'm leaving September 16th and will be back sometime in December.... if I decide to come back at all! haha just kidding! The official return date is still unknown due to some confusion as to when we can take our final exams. Ideally, I'll come back right before Christmas, but I'll just have to wait and see. I'm hoping to update this every once in a while as I do and experience new things!
